Lander Pioneer Days Rodeo Tickets On Sale!

Lander, WY - Lander, WY - The 130th Fremont Toyota Pioneer Days Rodeo, known as “The World’s Oldest Paid Rodeo,” will be held July 3rd and 4th in Lander, Wyoming. Starting at 6:30 p.m. each night for the Pre-Rodeo events, watch youth contestants compete in events such as mini-bull riding, junior barrels, and junior steer riding. The Grand Entry starts at 7:00 p.m. for the full night’s events.

Rodeo fans can purchase discounted pre-sale tickets for adults and kids at the Lander Chamber of Commerce and at the following local merchants: Lander Ace Hardware, Lander First Interstate Bank, Lander Parks & Rec Dept. and Western Supply in Riverton. Pre-sale ticket prices are Adult-$13.00, Child (ages 6-12)-$8.00, children 5 and under are free. Full-price tickets will be sold at the rodeo ticket booths on July 3 and 4. Gate prices are Adult-$15.00, Child (ages 6-12)-$10.00. Online ticket sales are available now at LOTRA.org using a smartphone to avoid the lines at the rodeo.

Pioneer Days Rodeo Contestant Sign-Up June 22nd

Lander, WY - The 130th Fremont Toyota Pioneer Days Rodeo, known as “The World’s Oldest Paid Rodeo,” will be held July 3rd and 4th in Lander, Wyoming. For rodeo contestants, over $10,000 of added money has been added to the payouts. Contestants need to enter Saturday, June 22 between 12-5 p.m. by calling in their entries to the Lander Old Timer’s Rodeo Association (LOTRA) phone numbers: 307-349-8070, 307- 349-8108, and 307-349-1981. Adult and youth contestant entry details are at LOTRA.org. Our quality stock contractors for the rodeo are Wind River Rodeo Co. for rough stock, Jace Mitchell for youth steer riding and mini bulls, and D & D Livestock for timed event cattle. The 4th of July Pioneer Days Parade entries are due to the Lander Parade Committee to be included in the printed parade program. The Parade entry form is available at the Lander Chamber of Commerce and on the LOTRA.org website.

Pioneer Days Rodeo Royalty Winners!

Lander, WY – The Pioneer Days Royalty contest was held on May 16 at the Lander Old Timers Rodeo Association (LOTRA) Indoor Arena. At the same time, the Lander Valley Cattlewomen held the Little Prince & Princess Contest. Congratulations to all the Pioneer Days Royalty members, who will represent the Lander Pioneer Days celebrations during the July 4th parade and at the 130th Pioneer Days Rodeo on July 3 and 4.
Remington Prince was crowned junior queen, Kimberly Webber won first attendant, and Heidi Shade is the second attendant; Rylee Norris was selected as the first-place princess and Callia Scribner was the second-place princess. Lainey Duncan, the 2023 Queen, will reprise her Queenrole in the parade this year. For the Lander Valley Cattlewomen’s Little Prince & Little Princess contest, Samson Shade won prince while Scarlett Malek came in first for little princess; the second-place little princess was Ellie Smart. This year, Royalty awards and prizes included gas cards for Royalty members, buckles, a 6-month free membership to the LOTRA indoor barn/arena for all winning royalty, matching hats and shirts to keep, and more.

Pioneer Days Rodeo Royalty Competition

Lander, WY – The Lander Pioneer Days Royalty 2024 Contest for Queen, Jr. Queen, and Princess is accepting entry forms through May 9th for the Royalty contest, to be held May 16, 2024 at 6:00 pm at the Lander Old Timers Rodeo Association (LOTRA) Indoor Arena in Lander. At the same time, the Lander Valley Cattlewomen will sponsor the Little Prince & Princess Contest. This year, Royalty awards and prizes include a $1500 Central Wyoming College scholarship for the Queen, gas cards for Royalty members, buckles, a 6-month free membership to the LOTRA indoor barn/arena for all winning royalty, matching hats and shirts to keep, and more.
